Amy Mueller (co-creator of The Mandala Olive Project in DIVAfest 2005) is an award-winning director whose primary dedication is to the development of new theater for the American stage. She has directed and produced original theater for the past fifteen years and is the Artistic Director of the Playwrights Foundation. Recent directing credits include: Coming Home by Israeli playwright Motti Lerner, Between The Eyes by McCarther Genius Naomi Wallace, and No Good Deed by Mollena Williams at Crowded Fire. She is best known for her work on the development and premiere of Tanya Shaffer's Let My Enemy Live Long! at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Anne Galjour's Alligator Tales at the Brava Theater Center, and the long-running Deer Rose by Tony Pellegrino at Theatre on the Square. She has also worked with Liz Duffy Adams, Emily Mann, Mac Wellman, Cornerstone Theater, Elaine Romero, Rickerby Hinds, Abi Basch and many other contemporary writers. She serves on the faculty of University of San Francisco's Performing Arts and Social Justice Department and is an Artistic Associate of Golden Thread Theater. She was the recipient of a 1996/97 NEA/TCG Directors Fellowship as well as Dramalogue and Bay Area Critics Circle Awards and nominations.
