Emily Ransom (Lighting Designer of Ambivalent Geneses as part of DIVAfest 2005) is honored to join the EXIT Theater for the fourth annual DIVAfest. Emily's previous design credits include Dombella Productions Come Fly with Me Nude, performed at EXIT Stage Left in December 2004, and numerous productions with the San Francisco Lyric Opera, including Die Fleidermaus, Tosca, and Madame Butterfly. Emily's relationship with the EXIT Theater began in a volunteer box office position for the 12th annual SF Fringe Festival, and she returned as a Lighting Technician for the 13th annual SF Fringe Festival. Emily received a BA in Theater Arts with emphasis in lighting design from UC Santa Cruz in 1999 under the tutelage of Derrick Duarte and Nick Nichols. Highlights of her collegiate lighting designs include student and faculty modern dance performances as well as a Mainstage production of Anton Chekov's The Cherry Orchard. Emily wishes to thank Christina, Amanda, and Sarah for this opportunity and looks forward to the 14th annual SF Fringe in September, 2005.
