Hit of the '98 Toronto Fringe!!! "Lempert is right on the money with her
performance"-NOW Magazine. Spend an hour with THAT DOROTHY PARKER as she "holds court" around New York's famed Algonquin Round Table. The show weaves together hilarious anecdotes of Mrs. Parker's life with selections of her writing. A witty, biting, slice of literary history. Won an Emerging Writer Award and nominated for the 2000 Canadian Comedy Awards.

THAT DOROTHY PARKER stormed the Toronto Fringe Festival in July 1998. It was written by and stars Carol Lempert and was directed by Mark Wilson. As a result of the show's success, Carol was invited to expand and re-mount it at the Canadian Stage Company in May 1999, where it played to more sold out crowds and critical acclaim. The show is nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award and Carol won an Emerging. Writer's Award from the Toronto Arts Council for her work. Carol is cofounder of Comedy On Wry, a theatrical sketch group, hailed as 'Best of Sketch' by Toronto's NOW Magazine. She just finished shooting 26 episodes of Rockabye Bubble in which she stars as MUM and can be seen weekday mornings on The Family Channel's Hello Mrs.Cherrywinkle. Carol is currently working on a new play which will debut in this year's Toronto Fringe Festival. Feel free to e-mail her at: Lempwat@ interlog.com
