Sorry, I don't know the blonde actress's name, but she could run hot and
cold within a second. She could be sweet and loving one moment and murderous
in another. Given her role of loving-but-abusive mother, her duplicity was
very useful and effective, providing very visible ironic contrast.
The other characters were very supportive and skeptical receivers of
her dissemblence.
The script's leisurely revelation of the facts was effective, especially
in how it revealed the other side of the actress's personality.
OF the five plays I saw at the Fringe, I will probably remember this
one most.

Denise Dee's writings are amazing, however unlike last year, the delivery
of the play was off. Mostly, casting hurts this production than the script.
The women were casted well, however the men, in particular Finn Sr. &
Jr., were not up to par with the script. I would like to see this play in
full production, but with the cast now, it will only hurt a piece of Denise's
more.

I liked the pretty-much dead-on Rhode Island accents a lot. Sharp, solid
acting work from everyone, great direction. The ending is fantastic. I love
theater that leaves an audience thinking.

Amazing. The first piece, Fern, was so relaxing and then threating. Sitting
on the floor of the theater, i felt safe to enjoy the sound scape around
me but then the crazy woodcutter attached my senses. I really felt as if
I was at the bottom of a forest being threated by the town near by. Deborah
Slater's piece was fantastic: emotionally moving, excellent choreography,
great video work, and fun puppetry. I felt the show had the most depth of
any Fringe show I've seen so far.

Two short poignant plays, Edward Allan Baker's Face Divided and William
Saroyan's Hello Out There are brought to life by Val Hendrickson and four
exceptional actors. This is excellent one-act work.

2 rarely-seen one acts wildly different in style, place, and tone. A classy,
well put together show that provides a nice palate-cleansing respite from
the typical in-your-face, absurdist, monologue movement piece Fringe fare.
