Dark Comedy/Satiric Fable w/Music

Manor Farm is taken over by its overworked, mistreated
animals. They create Animal Farm; a model community, a paradise of
progress, justice and equality, setting the stage for the telling of one
of the most satirical fables of all time, a razor-edged fairly tale, that
records the evolution of a revolution against tyranny to a terrible
totalitarianism. This cautionary tale - an allegorical lesson - is a
warning against political innocence and apathy. Although targeting
Stalinist Russ fifty years ago, it shows that whever and whenever freedom
is attacked, under whatever banner, Orwell's masterpiece has a meaning
and a message still ferociously fresh.
THROUGH LINE OF THE PLAY: Revolutions tend of produce ruling elites
which become corrupt through their thirst for power - once firmly
entrenched through terrorism and the perversion of language, they
ruthlessly destroy their opposition.
