Theatergoers are in for a hilarious, spellbinding, and ultimately moral journey into the true story of the most famous prank in banking history when award-winning writer and television actor Patrick Combs, presents his mesmerizing, nationally touring one-man show Man 1, Bank 0. Combs tells the story of the time when he found himself in what the Associated Press called "a David and Goliath-like story." He received a phony promotional check in the mail for $95,000 and deposited it into his checking account as a joke. It cleared. The rest is banking history. Patrick Combs created Man 1, Bank 0 in collaboration with Mark Travis, a graduate of the Yale School of Drama who has been instrumental in the development of several one-person shows including Chazz Palminteri's, A Bronx Tale, Dana Gould's, Insomnia, and Wendy Kamenoff's, Undressing New Jersey. Patrick Combs is a former TV personality for ParamountÕs hit shows, Real TV and Hard Copy where he was the star of humorous hidden camera segments. He also has appeared on many national shows including Good Morning America and The Late Show. As a solo performer, he has toured continuously from coast to coast for ten years, entertaining audiences as large as two thousand people in theaters such as the Falk Theater in Tampa, Bayfront Theatre in San Francisco, Garrison Theater in Los Angeles, and Trustees Theater in Savannah. His writings, posted on the internet, have been read by millions and designated as "WhatÕs Cool" by Netscape, Yahoo!, and many more. Man 1, Bank 0 has been described as "Amazing! I laughed so hard. I thought it was a great story when I read it on the internet, and now it's an incredible show." Melanie Goodspeed (Dallas Eagle News) EXIT ON TAYLOR 277 Taylor Street Thursday 4 10:00 PM | |||
