1 star for effort by the team of many...many...! Animal Farm is the most
disappointing show at the festival this year - a true stinker!

I always look for something positive in every preformance I see. Unfortunately,
I have to look far and wide to find it here. I felt most sorry for one performer
who not only didn't know her lines, but had to read some of them from note
cards. It only indicates a producer(or director) wasn't doing her/his job.
The adeptation was interesting. Unfortunately, it felt like I was watching
a big group of elementary school kids playing make-believe. I makes me feel
especially bad writing a review like this, but I'm the one who threw down
eight bucks to watch this mess of a show

George Orwells classic novel adapted for the stage. Theres little
to say about this amateur and amateurish community-group production, except
that its content is a sort of cheat-sheet prep for seeing Marx
in Soho.

A fairly straightforward retelling of the George Orwell tale. Neither exciting
nor bad.

I enjoyed this maybe a little more because I knew two cast members. The
attempt was a noble one and the result was entertaining and an uncomfortable
reminder of the lust for power and the subversion of a truly decent rebellion
against oppression. The horror is that the evil within is greater than the
evil on the outside. A few strong peformances and adequate ensemble work.
Worth seeing.
