Undeniable comedic genius. I don't even know the lady, but I hate her. I hate her because she thought of "whistle dance" and I didn't. Don't see this show if you have no sense of humor.

I would like to respond to whatwasthat's comment about the five-star reviews of this show. I previously gave this show five stars, and I must be honest and say that this is really a four-star show. I tacked on an extra star because Thessaly is just so damn cute. So there you go - five stars in all. I hope this clears things up.

This play had some pretty funny moments. Towards the end of the play, however, I was a bit overwhelmed by her non-stop frantic energy - like drinking a six pack of red-bull while racing. Still, I think she'd make cast on SNL.

I was very disappointed with this show especially after all the 5 stars reviews. First of all she talks so fast that you can't understand at least half of what she says and while she has great "energy" after awhile a show that is just about energy gets very annoying. I would seriouslly avoid this show. Also it seems like all the shows have 5 stars for the initial reviews , like everyone has all their friends write the first reviews. Put more faith in the reviews that come latter that are written from people who don't know any of these performers.

The title of the show aptly has an exclamation mark after it; it sure is excited about itself. After a while, the self-indulgence begins to wear thin and you get the feeling that she should "probably SLOW THE HECK DOWN". Call me nit-picky, but while I admire people for their energy, I ENJOY performers for their intelligibility.

High energy performance, very funny script, lots of wild, over-the-top characters. Well worth seeing. A suggestion about the structure of the piece, which I hope I can make without giving the ending away to anyone who hasn't seen it: if some hints are dropped early on about the hypnotic power of the you know what, and also about the vicious evil supervillian nature of you know who, the sudden transition where the story changes trajectory would be easier to take in stride. As it was, the first half of the play felt like a different show to me than the second half: First half - spirited send-up of shallow, vain, consumer-culture; second half - weird Batman episode. I think the two halves could be made to feel like a unified whole with a little massaging of the text.

Quite frankly, I just wasn't as impressed as as some of the other submissions. Oh well.

Lovely work Thessaly. funny writing, intriguing concept. lovely satire. great stage presence. I did miss alot of the jokes because you spoke at such a rapid pace, with very few moments of stillness.

Action is like a shot of heroin, but without all the baggage. Nonstop jokes, wild characters, and mind-popping cultural references are joined together by a bizarre hollywood story and one top notch performance. I didn't stop laughing.

I can't find my "Action" review on this page, so like Whitesnake, "here I go again (on my own):" Thessaly is a fire-cracker of energy. Her characters are a blast. She reminds me of Gilda Radner actually. See her now before she becomes a major network star, and buy a rubber chicken from her ($3).

Performed by tour-de-force physical performer Thessaly Lerner, Action! is a highly entertaining political satire on social relations within the hyper-consumptive US media culture, told from the points of view of exploited children, a beleagered underling, and an executive who is thoroughly addicted to her own insecurities. Kudos to young Thessaly for her poetic zeitgeist on the tragedy of a spiritually vacuous life. Action! turns the media darlings upside down, and the message is delivered with charm, wit, verve and enough energy to fuel a revolution.

Excellent show - great characters, wild moments and a lot of great fun being poked at Hollywood, and life in general. Thessaly is super talented and has a amazing range of characters. It's an adrenaline-charged, wacky fun show. Cool voice-overs, too. See this one for sure! Diana Galligan - from "Viva Vivi!"
