This is one of the stronger solo shows in this year's festival. The performer
is clearly well practiced and in full command of his material. The show
is predicated on three different, unrelated characters, each of whom are
portrayed in turn via extended monologue. The first character is a lively
(and deranged) Beatles fan; this bit is entirely comedic, quite entertaining,
and pulls the audience onto his side. The next two characters deepen the
drama - a frustrated housewife with dreams of Paris and a disallusioned
young punk dealing with family drama. This is a show worth seeing.

This show is a must-see. Wesley Connor will take you on a rollercoaster
ride of emotions escaping into 3 totally different worlds, catching a glimpse
into the lives of 3 amazingly different characters... Samuel,President of
The Lonely Hearts Club, Grace, an Obedient Mrs. Cleaver-like house wife
and Alex, a destructive youth filled with much confusion- all of which examine
their own way of standing alone in a world filled with fear, angst and disaster.
I highly suggest going out and seeing this wonderful production and witnessing
this remarkable gem Canadian performer!

intense energy, great character work, the guy is good-looking and totally
at home on stage...poignantly funny & bittersweet, actually, the first
character drove me crazy, was rather unsettling, made me nervous. maybe
that wasn't the intention, but he seemed disordered in some fundamental
way... borderline insane and borderline funny. the other two were much stronger,
well...they were all very well-acted, but the second two were more appealing
as individuals, so I was more willing to spend time with them. Obviously
very well-directed and -written. what a pleasure that must have been-a talented
actor working with a talented director......but I kept thinking: why couldn't
this be a play? with other people in it? The intensity would become so much
more three-dimensional, so to speak, but whatever... I have this thing about
one-person shows...they're great, like this one was, but they are somehow
less ...theatre...no one agrees with me, but whatever...

Great acting, well polished piece. Sticks with you. A study of three characters
who are all struggling with the disappointment of how their lives turned
out; all attempting escape through different forms of fantasy. Very sad,
yet unfortunately, very real
