Got Calories?

A slice of life in la la land, starring three talented actresses. Eating Skeletons is about the trials and tribulations, the traumas and the tears of two teenage girls trying for stardom, as they audition for their big chance. Christina Huntington (babe). Of course, the talent scout/agent is Jewish. Good performances by all the actresses. Parts of the dialogue you’ve heard before (those 5 pounds that TV adds…). Oh, by the way, Christina Huntington is a babe! And no, I’m not a bud who has known her for years.

A fun script by Jen Rudin, but the acting is what makes this play a must see at the fringe this year. Danya Solomon's portrayl of Zoe, a child actress battling with its hardships, gives the piece such weight and unexpectedly brought tears to my eyes. Only two more shows... go see it.

A very talented trio of actresses, with excellent energy and timing and such great chemistry between them that they were extremely enjoyable to watch.

Funny and zany but grounded and gritty. Great character work! Very precise. These women know what they are doing on stage, how refreshing. I knew all the words to the soundtrack... scary.

30 Minutes of an Interesting, Lightly Funny Look at Teenage Auditions

Unfortunately, the performance itself ran 40 minutes. It could have been cut down to ½ hour without losing anything. Three actresses act out a number of bits involved with teen age girls auditioning for the proverbial Jewish talent scout/agent. The acting was fine. The actresses seamlessly transition between multiple characters/ages. There was no Q&A after the show (this may have been removed after the first performance). If you’re going out to see just “one show”, take a pass. If you’re looking for a second or third show to round out the evening, and want to be cheered up a bit between darker performances. “Eating Skeletons” may be the ticket.

Wherein, Jenny Pearson expounds, vicariously, on the business of this business. Constitutes a humorous reality check on the business of child-actor business. 1-800-ASK-BUZZ

Fun, short piece, very well performed by 3 ladies with a lot of stage presence. The more you're into theater, the funnier it is.

A difficult subject to make funny. However these three funny ladies did an amazing job. The transitions were excellent, well timed and flawless. I enjoyed the multiple characters and the "message" of the piece.

and not just because i met them all and get on with them and all that shit, but because it's an excellent show. very, very tight indeed, like an italian waiters trousers. and it's something of an acting masterclass, superb complicity between the performers. go now. run...

Lighthearted, close to the heart, and lots of fun. And there's a Q&A with the playwright, director, and performers after the show - well worth seeing if you're interested in "the business" especially as it affects young people.

Super interesting play, a sometimes unsettling combo of comedy and social commentary, the show traces the trials of an actress named Zoe as she struggles with eating issues and acting coaches. The three actors move flawlessly between past and present and multiple characters....
I went in expecting something very comic, and left feeling much more satisfied...Great script, wonderful direction and performances, and you haven"t live until you"ve seen the hybrid of Janis and Ophelia!!!!
