NON-TRADITIONAL FRINGE VENUE (NTFV) APPLICATION PROCESS

NTFV PERFORMANCE FEE $350

This information is for those participants who wish to mount a show in a Non-Traditional Fringe Venue.

Please be aware that Non-Tradtional Fringe Venues come with substantial financial risk to the producing company and can involve a considerable amount of work.

NTFV APPLICATION METHOD

The San Francisco Fringe Festival accepts NTFV (Non-Traditional Fringe Venue) performer applications through online submission only. Payment of the $30 Application Fee and the NTFV $350 Performance Fee must be paid with a Visa or MasterCard (submitted with your online application). The Performance Fee will only be charge if your venue is approved and your application proposal is accepted by the Fringe.

While there is no specific quota for NTFV participants in the San Francisco Fringe Festival, participation may be limited. Prospective participants should be prepared to provide the Festival a plan in order to demonstrate the viability of their proposal. In the event that the number of NTFV applications exceeds the capacity of Festival support, applications will be vetted and selected by Festival staff. Selections will be based on criteria determined by Festival staff but will include an assessment of the anticipated success of each proposal and its relative contribution to the success of the Festival as a whole. Subsequent to their application NTFV applicants will be contacted to review their production plan in preparation for confirming participation in the festival. The $350 application fee will not be processed until participation is confirmed.

BOX OFFICE / TICKETS Each NTFV company sets its own ticket price up to a maximum of $9.00. All Fringe companies will be allowed to open up to 50% of it's house to pre-sale/reservations with at least 50% available for walk-up sales at time of performance. The Fringe Festival sells a limited number of discounted Frequent Fringer passes. Fringe performers receive $6 for each patron that sees their show using a Frequent Fringer pass.

TECH NTFV productions are required to provide ALL of their own technical staffing and equipment for their production.
