parts is parts: is an intricate set of explorations on the theme of compartmentalization, wound from a sequence of performance art installations initiated by kim harmon at various bay area galleries.

fused with visions, blood, and the lovely type of hope that only blossoms out of political and personal despair, parts is parts: spirals soaring original music, acrobatic choreography, and intense doses of ridiculous sincerity to beg the sometimes terrifying question: how does it all fit together?

kim harmon, bay area newcomer, creates politically-focused performance art: beautifully disturbing, gratingly lyrical and viscerally constructed. Armed with a collaborative team of innovative musicians, she creates installations of object, music, dance and text that spiral themselves in and out of questions of truth. Her goal is to leave room for everyone present, artist and audience alike, to experience a very personal immersion into landscapes breathtakingly hopeful while humorous through their own cynicism. parts is parts: her current labour of love, is a sequence of short pieces being performed at various venues, culminating at SF Fringe Festival this September.
