This show probably resonates a great deal more if you're a teacher ,otherwise it's just OK. Some of the material works and is funny but then again if you don't have experience to connect with it starts wearing thin as the show goes on. In the world of "The Little Man" , this is the one where he's sitting in his seat looking straight. He's not going to fall asleep , but he's not moved enough to be come overly enthusiastic either. I'm also curious about the "Japanese" generated "humor". Doesn't seem that funny for SF. The dinner theater option is a plus here.

I don't know what all the buzz is about with this show. I found the actor to be lackluster and I could hardly hear him half the time. The story is choppy and seems divided into two years of school - make it one year and mold everything together. I had a few laugh-out-loud moments, hence two stars.

It was a good show. With funny anecdotes of what I believe are real-life experiences. But it isn't up to par with the other one man shows I've seen at this year's Fringe. I would give it four, but part of the Fringe experience is being able to interact with the people involved. So far this is the only participant I've met who seemed completely uninterested with even being polite to someone who had just enjoyed his show. minus one point

Steven is immediately likable, his substitute teacher uniform is absolutely perfect, and his heart is undeniably in the right place for his vocation and his art. He resists making too many references to the political atmosphere around education in California and takes the highest road possible in portraying his students and the hell they put him through *times five*. This show reminds you that we're all just trying to stay afloat in the kayak amidst the rapids of life, kumbaya.

Laughed so hard my cheeks were cramping! Steven becomes each character he portrays so vividly you can feel their presence. A MUST SEE!!!!!!
