Delightful, funny (often hilarious), deeply moving, and honest. This is
a very polished performance and script, and the performer's command of the
stage is as bold as her red dress. The hour flew by, and I could have easily
watched her for another hour - she is so spellbinding, and the show is vivid
and fast-paced, filled with trenchant observations about herself, surviving
cancer, and, yes, shopping! (Last night was her final performance at the
Fringe, but if you missed it, it's worth keeping an eye out for future performances
in the Bay Area or elsewhere. You can also buy a DVD of the performance
- worth checking out, in my opinion.)

Terry Tate is a master storyteller and not only is this show very funny,
but it is also a moving account of one woman's incredibley courageous journey
through a 2% survival of oral cancer. The show is never heavy or self pitying,
or for that matter superficial. I came away having roared with laughter
at things about her that reminded me of myself and inspired by the audacity
of this amazing woman. You must see it!!!

My usher friend had seen 15 shows at the Fringe Festival and thought this
was the best one. He was right!

I thought this would be a funny comment on shopping, but it was so much
more. Terri has honed her material and her timing to draw the audience into
her story, which is compelling and entertaining. She doesn't waste any time
in this show -- it's all good

This show was both funny and poignant, a combination I find irresistible.
What made it even more compelling to me was that it also provided fascinating
and valuable insights about how to deal with life's problems. Terri's courage
and persistence in overcoming great odds can be an inspiration to us all,
and help us each find our own unique spiritual path!

Run don't walk to see this funny, funny one-woman performance - truly a
gem. This show's got savvy and sass, and a huge heart. You can leave your
credit card at home but bring all your friends - they will think you are
a genius for discovering this great talent. |
