Buoyed by her success emceeing the office Christmas party, Executive Secretary Evelyn Reese launches herself into show biz with a one-lady comedy.
Like a cigarette and rye-n-ginger enhanced Mary Tyler Moore, 30 years and three husbands later, Evelyn Reese is an aging good-time gal, sharing her hard-earned lessons on love, office politics, and 'poofter' friends. All with a mixture of down-to-earth wisdom and campy theatrics.

Susan Fischer - Writer and Performer

BIO
Evelyn Reese is the alter ego of Susan Fischer, a comedian based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As Evelyn, she performs all over town, including Queer events at Second City Toronto and at Canada's major Queer theatre - Buddies in Bad Times.

In 2006, she took 'The Evelyn Reese Show' to Fringes across Canada and earned a coveted spot in the UNO Festival of Solo Performance in Victoria, British Columbia. In 2007, she launched her second one-woman show at the Toronto and Ottawa Fringes and in July 2008, takes 'Evelyn Reese's Family Room' to the Winnipeg Fringe in Manitoba, Canada.

"The star of The Evelyn Reese Show is no stranger to the stage and neither is her creator, Susan Fischer.
As the marvellous, not so stylish Reese, Fischer has toured the country, appearing at comedy clubs, cabarets and karaoke places. In this solo show, her character speaks her mind about tackling trying marriages, dealing with divorce, befriending giggly gays and discoing at Studio 54 (no, not the famous New York hotspot a Kitchener location under a golf and country club)...The Evelyn Reese Show compels you to picture Married…With Children's Peggy Bundy after packing on a belly and putting down too many fruity drinks over the years. Reese is a curvaceous, vivacious and boisterous bitch.
"I am not actually a professional entertainer," she confesses, but the self-proclaimed amateur actress is in big demand as emcee for retirement parties, picnics and office functions.
