This one-woman-show takes an irreverent look at what stops people from pursuing their dreams. Dives inside the wild playground of the mind and ask the big questions: What's life all about? Why am I here? Where are you hiding the chocolate?

Take a journey with Alicia into the quirky world of standup comedians, hungry-funny monsters who live in the belly, Jewish grandmothers, and wacky gurus who all think they know the answers. This poignant and bittersweet comedy speaks to the heart of what matters.

"We were rolling on the floor laughing. It's raw, intimate, incredibly vulnerable, honest, and sexy." - Steve Blumenthal

"Alicia is one of the funniest, non-famous comedians I have ever seen. And I know comedy. When I was a kid, my dad owned a comedy club on the Laff Stop circuit. I can't wait to round up bunches of friends for her show ...join us!" - Bryan Neuberg

Alicia has been writing and performing standup comedy for over 10 years, appearing with comedians such as Will Franken, Arj Barker, Eugene Mirman, and Amy Stiller. She's appeared at The Punchline, Cobb's Comedy Club, and The Improv. Alicia studied filmmaking at Hampshire College. She subsequently studied Method Acting for four years with Rob Reece and scriptwriting for two years with Will Dunne. Several years ago, she started a circus called "The Latest Show on Earth" with Ben Turner and toured the country.

Alicia developed "The Punchline" in residency last fall at The Garage/975 Howard, thanks to Joe Landini. Fresh of the plane from India, Alicia is already working on a second solo-show called "Eat, Pray, Laugh!"

She would like to thank Katie Rubin and W. Kamau Bell who were instrumental in the development and direction of th show, Becky Pappas for choreography, Margrit Eichler for musical composition, and Aaron Stone, chief aide-de-camp.

W. Kamau Bell is a headlining comedian who has worked with such luminaries as Dave Chapelle. His solo show, "The W. Kamau Bell Curve," is a hilarious and nuanced diatribe exploring race and identity. He also teaches and directs up and coming solo performers in San Francisco.

Katie Rubin is an actor and director whose powerful solo show "Insides Out" has played to sold-out audiences across the country, and had an extended run at the prestigious Sacrament Theatre Company. She has acted in numerous film, television, and theatre roles and is working on several new solo shows.
