Liked this a lot. Very strong performances in an intense story told in a modern form. Be prepared: it's very loud, but worth it.

Very cool and intense. I felt the pain of the man haunted by the three spirits. Powerful with a talented cast.

Imaginative. Really conveys the madness and pain going on in the main character's head.

live theatre made this performance so real. i could feel the noise, pain and endless madness that was going on in this man's mind.

the cast is very talented and the whole production was very gutsy and ambitious.

however...

the cast screamed all their lines, unless they were muttering hysterically and incomprehensibly. while an audience should be willing to strain to decipher the dialogue at critical moments, this will not happen unless the audience has developed an actual interest in the characters. an audience should not be forced to strain to decipher 100% of the dialogue. that gets old.

furthermore, i had no opporutnity to connect w/ the characters in any way. they came out screaming and kept screaming. after 2 minutes of shock i naturally felt myself detaching from the whole situation. after 4 minutes i was like, "ok, what next?" after 36 minutes of continuous screaming, incoherent speech, and frantic writhing, i was out the door.

sorry, to be so rude! but talent must be combined with art! slamming down a chair once is stunning and powerful. slamming down a chair 10 times is annoying.

This was ultimately a failed experiment. Constant loud screaming is not the only way to convey torment and in fact, gets monotonous and detracts from emotional intensity. In fact, the entire play was one note production - people screaming and writhing around on the stage. The subject is potentially powerful and the cast has talent, but the story needed to trust itself and embrace the quiet moments. Plus it was hard to understand the difference between the ghosts as individual characters. You could see that they were individual characters but you did not know what they were about and what were their experiences.

I'm visiting from NYC and came to this show based on a recommendation from a friend. I was so impressed to see such quality work being done in the small theatres in San Francisco. I thought it was dramatic, modern, moving, full of pain and tension - like nothing I've ever seen. Highly recommended.

One hour of non stop amazing physical strength and concentration. sonderkammando-animated and tortured by 3 female ghosts who can't seem to move on from this planet - constantly haunting and terrorizing. Unbelievable dynamics of the three girls, bringing you up and down through this intense drama. I felt the
pain and confusion of spirits trying to fight their way back to sanity with no resolve just chaos. Each girl ghost had their own unique movements and character taking the center of attention and continue to throw it back and forth not leaving you any time to drift off. a unique experience - go see it

Wow. This was an intense hour. I felt that this show is what the Fringe is meant to be. Truly modern performance art.

Intense! I've never seen anything like this piece. It's so modern, so intense and stays with you long afterwards. Recommendation - read the program first because the piece is modern and abstract, the program will explain what it's about.

I saw this show on Thursday. It's a really intense performance with very talented performers. Definitely makes you think. I recommend it for everyone's Fringe must-see list. The Boxcar is a nice space for the show.
