A BENEFIT PERFORMANCE FOR THE SAN FRANCISCO FRINGE FESTIVAL.

After more than a century on the carnival circuit, the Bearded Lady comes to the San Francisco Fringe to perform what may be her final show. Now with the privilege of death, she in a tell-all tale, once again gives her audience fright and delight. Step up, step up, Ladies and Gentleman, and see for yourself!
Written by Billie Cox and presented by Larissa Garcia, A Bearded Lady pays tribute to the carnival life, its deviance and its dignity.

Billie Cox:
Billie Cox is award-winning composer, playwright, sound designer and director, she has been active at Marin Shakespeare, Ross Valley Players, Marin Classic Theatre, Mayflower Chorus, Big Deal Theater and many other venues. She has been acknowledged by an EMACT award, a Falstaff award, two BATC Best Original score nominations. Her original score Romeo and Juliet won a 2005 Dean Goodman award. Most recently she has placed Second as Director in two successive Fringe of Marin Critics Awards.
Larissa Garcia:
Actor and comedian Larissa Garcia, a graduate of Theatrical Interpretation from the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil, recently found herself in the Bay Area, where she in May 2009 won the Fringe of Marin Critics Choice Award for Best Actress in the solo performance of Mario Echevarria's "Memoirs of a Virgin." Prior to arriving in California, Larissa, a long-time practitioner and study of improv, was a regular player in the comedy theater production "Alvoroço", in her home city of Salvador. She is thrilled with the partnership of Billie Cox; a Bahia-California interchange taking place at the SF Fringe.
