California is in the midst of an ideological war over Gay Marriage. The battle lines are clear, but as always innocent civilians are caught in the middle. How does the moderate middle fight for equality, how does a son or daughter question his/ her parents' beliefs, how does the next generation break away from centuries of "tradition"? These are the questions, now you the audience provide the solution. Watch the play, and then come onstage to try something new. Bring your ideas, bring your passion and come fight for what you feel is right. All viewpoints welcome. Garrison Harward is a senior at Chico State University where he is pursuing a BA in Musical Theatre. He was awarded two Research and Creativity Grants from the University in order to pursue his work in the Theatre of the Oppressed and to create this piece for the Fringe. He has studied with Augusto Boal, the originator of the Theatre of the Oppressed, and more recently Julian Boal. Memorable performances at Chico State include, Urinetown The Musical, Bat Boy The Musical, The Bacchae, and Ubu Roi. Last fall Garrison premiered his original play A Time For Leaving at Chico State to rave reviews. He is also the Artistic Director of Ink Blot Arts theatre company in Chico, and the President of Chico STAND, a Darfur advocacy group.
