TATER STEW is a dark comedy following the adventures of Stewart, a young schoolboy attempting to overcome the abuses of his maniacal schoolmaster. Aiding Stewart in his quest are Seamus, a foul-smelling homeless man, and Schmaing, a repulsive lunch lady. TATER STEW is certain to keep audiences riveted as they witness a high energy display of frayed nerves, strained interactions, and raw, uncompromising language. TATER STEW is signed, sealed, and delivered by SLOP HOG PRODUCTIONS of Missoula, Montana.

John Budge (Writer, Seamus)
John, a Seattle native, received his BFA in Acting from the University of Montana. He currently lives in Seattle where he has been acting in various productions and writing plays and poetry. Earlier this year, John collaborated with Reno artist, PAN* Pantoja to complete his first book, American Haiga, a collection of 150 haiga (illustrated haiku and senryu). Visit www.myspace.com/americanhaiga for more information. His interests include reading, hiking in the North Cascades, Seattle Mariners baseball, gardening and juggling. John is very excited to be performing Tater Stew in the 2009 San Francisco Fringe Festival, an example of what he calls "Raw Theatre."

Monte Jenkins (Writer, Master)
Monte, a Montana native, believes that in order for live entertainment to be any good, it has to reach out and punch you in the face. He has performed in many productions, acting for various theater companies across America and Europe, but knowledge of his past shouldn't be taken into account when experiencing this show. So please, look alive.

Andrew John Garfield (Stewart)
Andrew, a native of Montana, currently resides in Seattle, WA. He received his BA in Acting from The University of Montana, performing in many productions and singing in various vocal ensembles. His favorite roles have included Mrs. Taylor/Pan/Clem in Bat Boy: The Musical, Bustopher Jones in Cats, Mr. McQueen in Urinetown, and now Stewart in Tater Stew. The past three summers, he has been a part of The Buttenik Ensemble (Butte, MT) which incorporates live music, film, and theatre together with original works. He is excited to be performing in the 2009 San Francisco Fringe Festival with many of his good friend.

Ciara Griffin (Director and Schmaing)
Ciara worked as a collaborator with the Buttenik Ensemble in Butte, Montana for two years before moving to Seattle. She is currently a staff member at Seattle's longest running fringe theater, Annex Theater. Her Annex acting credits include: I Feel Fine, Keep the Light On, and S2. Ciara's directing credits include: Eating Round the Bruise (Annex Theatre), Summertime (Ghostlight Theatrical's Battle of the Bards Competition), and In His Own Words (Imagination Company). Other credits include The Brewery Follies (2002 and 2003, Cast), Troilus and Cressida (Sound Theater Company, ASM), and Top Girls (Sound Theater Company, Set Designer). She holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Montana.
