I'm a new fan. Raya Light's work is narratively and abdominally tight. Her writing is sharp and funny. Steven Satyricon is the stand-out back-up for his dancing and for staying on pitch. The glam costumes are as clever as you'd expect from the esteemed Mr. David. The lip-synch is fun, but Raya's truly touching finale shows she's got the pipes.

Raya Light, a crown jewel in the legacy of the Trannyshack Drag Performance Artists, raises the bar in the smart, funny, searing musical satire of fame “The Unbearable Lightness of Raya” at this year’s Fringe Fesival. Actually she doesn’t simply raise the bar, she twirls it like a baton on fire. She Sings, She Dances and She’s got something to say!

I left feeling stunned and amazed after sitting in the front row. Raya Light is a one of a kind performer and her show business is "for realz." She's supported by a great cast (Trixxie, Steven, Audra - applauso!). I definitely enjoyed the lesson on fame, hypocrisy and celebrities. Also, I 1-800-LOVED the fat suit. A must see for anyone wanting something original and relevant.

Seeing Raya's life all wrapped up into one hour made me realize just how import she was not only as a cultural icon, but also as a beacon of morality. It was such a treat to see her rise again to take a bow after her tragic end. This is simply a MUST see for all who are interested in maintaining true cultural literacy. Her performances were flawless as always as were those of her cohorts.

This is a wonderfully wicked and funny show! Raya Light gives a tour de force performance as...well...Raya, the ultimate psuedo-celebrity/media-whore of our times. Her supporting cast shines and gives the production an added (prescription-medicated) boost! Go see this show!

Raya Light's ego can only be overshadowed by her genius. One never knows if the flashing and mixed lines are actually planned or just a part of the show to make it that much funnier. When you see it, which you must, let me know. Kudos to Frau Light and her remarkable cast and musicians!

Raya Light is truly a revolutionary, carving a trail for drag to soar to new heights. She consolidates so many of her talents, her high-production Trannyshack genius, her ruthless stand up comedy, her singing and dancing, even her athleticism, into one raunchy labor of love that is the Unbearable Lightness of Raya. Don't miss it.
