"OVER THERE: Comedy Is His Best Weapon" illustrates the hardship and hilarity of PJ Walsh's journey. As a screw-up kid, Walsh enlists never expecting to go to war. After Three wars, a stint as Bill Clinton's dental technician, and a career in stand-up comedy alongside the stars of The Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Walsh discovers what really matters in life when he returns to war no longer as a service man, but a comedian, and finds himself facing mortality in the belly of a C-130 plane over Afghanistan.

PJ Walsh Performer & Executive Producer. PJ Walsh is known as one of the hardest working comics behind the microphone, and for good reason. The quick-witted master of observational comedy leaves everything on the stage each night but the clothes on his back. PJ's boundless energy and the strength of his physical comedy have carried him around the globe, from the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, to overseas tours for U.S. troops which include several Comics On Duty tours through Iraq & Afghanistan. He was a finalist in the Seattle International Comedy Competition and crowned champion of The Rocky Mountain Laugh-Off. PJ's side-splitting insights earned him a spot touring with the stars of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and found him performing on celebrated stages including Radio City Music Hall, Universal Amphitheater and the Ryman Auditorium with legends such as Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy, Ron White and Jeff Foxworthy. PJ had a successful radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio and completed two years of intensive training at the prestigious William Esper School of Acting in New York City.

"Just when you're thinking you can laugh no more, he hits you in the stomach with raw emotion and you realize his comic agenda is not just about him but to help and support others as well." Maura Kelley, nytheatre.com http://www.nytheatre.com/showpage.aspx?s=10648

"I highly recommend this show. It'll make you laugh, think, and leave with a glimpse to a side of stand-up you might not expect to see." Ben Charles, Theater is Easy - http://www.theasy.com/Reviews/FringeFestival/OverThere.php

"If you're looking for laughs in the humble form of true talent and motivation, then check out PJ Walsh. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll leave ready to conquer the world, or at least a small part of it." Sheena Vega, Independent Media Magazine - http://www.indiemediamag.com/2010/new-york-city/pj-walsh-fringe-festival-interview/

"The poignant narrative intertwines the solemnity of war with the humor of Walsh's inner thoughts" Brian Willett, Bloginity.com http://www.bloginity.com/blog/2010/08/08/pj-walsh-over-there-comedy-is-his-best-weapon-performance-dates/
