Ever say the right thing, but at the wrong time?
Have a day where nothing seems to go right, even if
all you're trying to do is buy the paper and get a cup
of coffee? Wish you could rewind what you've just
done? The actors in the OneHeart production "All in
the Timing" illustrate just that -- think "Groundhog
Day" meets "Sliding Doors." This not-to-be-missed
production, directed by Sheila Lopez, consists of
five one-act plays by David Ives that cleverly tackle
topics such as the language of love and the theory
of evolution. Highlights include "Words, Words,
Words," in which three monkeys are put in a cage
with typewriters and asked to produce the next
"Hamlet," and "The Universal Language," in which a
woman attends a class to learn Ungamoonda, the
universal language that hilariously incorporates
vocabulary such as "DeNiro," "Hackensack" and
"linguine" into everyday conversation. It doesn't take
a linguist to decipher that "All in the Timing" is
downright funny. -- Anna Mantzaris
