#1? Agamemnon, Menelaus, Helen of
Troy, and other characters take a back
seat as the work of original playwright
Aeschylus – the "father of Greek tragedy" – gets tweaked by Art
Street's artistic director, Mark Jackson. Make like a fifth-century
Athenian time-warped into the 21st century and check out this
"new ancient Greek tragedy," featuring more humor and an entirely

Opens Sat/10. Runs Fri.-Sat., 8 p.m. (also March 27 and April 3,
8 p.m.). Through April 8. 156 Eddy, S.F. $10-$15. (415)
