What do sexual power and bad grammar have in
common? They're both themes in two upcoming plays running
concurrently as part of Exit Theater's Absurdist Season 2000. At
Exit Stage Left, local author Ken Prestininzi's show 'Presto
Pronto' consists of four new short comic plays: in Reading in
Bed, men and women fight over a book; in The Bath, a man's ego
is bruised; Begin. Or? explores an old man's denial; and Nora's
Exit reexamines Ibsen's A Doll's House. At the neighboring Exit,
Mac Wellman's Cat's-Paw peeks into the love lives of four New
York women. Using unconventional language, including improper
grammar (English teachers: take note!), Wellman attempts to jolt
audiences into new ways of thinking. Both shows: through April
