NON-TRADITIONAL FRINGE VENUES
The San Francisco Fringe Festival encourages artists to perform “site specific” work in non-traditional locations as part of the San Francisco Fringe Festival. The SF Fringe will be presenting 30 companies performing in the three theaters in the EXIT mutliplex at 156 Eddy Street in San Francisco. This application is for artists who want to present work that could not be properly presented in the traditional Fringe theaters.
Artists that are selected to perform in a Non-Traditional Fringe Venue (NTFV) will pay a $350 performance fee. They may schedule up to 10 performances during the festival (traditional Fringe performers only receive four performances), September 8 through September 23, 2017, and they will receive 100% of the ticket price that they set (up to $12). The Fringe Festival will include the NTFV performances in all festival promotions and provide advance ticket sales.
Artists who wish to perform in a Non-Traditional Fringe Venue (NTFV) are responsible for providing the venue and all staff and expenses to present the shows. Performers will set a ticket price of $12 or less and will receive all of the $12 (or whatever price they set up to $12) for tickets sold at the venue and online in advance. The SF Fringe will also sell a limited number of Frequent Fringer discounted tickets and performers will receive $8 for all Frequent Fringer passes redeemed at their shows.
